Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi in wheat grown in copper contaminated soil

چکیده

At high soil concentrations, copper (Cu) is toxic to plant development. Symbiosis carried out between microorganisms and species are alternatives minimize toxicity in contaminated soil. The present study aimed select of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi for the development wheat plants experimental design was completely randomized a 4 × 6 factorial arrangement, with four sources inocula: three mycorrhizae (Acaulospora colombiana, Gigaspora Margarita Rhizophagus clarus) one without inoculum (control), six doses (0, 80, 160, 240, 320, 400 mg kg-1), seven replications. Plant height, root length, volume, dry mass, specific surface area, average diameter, root, shoot grain Cu content colonization rate were evaluated. Root mass negatively affected by isolates Acaulospora Colombiana provide greater length area lower content. Mycorrhizal Colombiana, clarus results shoots grains.

Solanum nigrum grown in contaminated soil: effect of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi on zinc accumulation and histolocalisation.

Zn tissue accumulation in Solanum nigrum grown in a non-contaminated and a naturally contaminated Zn matrix and the effect of inoculation with different arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) on metal uptake were assessed. S. nigrum grown in the contaminated soil always presented higher Zn accumulation in the tissues, accumulating up to 1622 mg Zn kg(-1). The presence of both Glomus claroideum and ...

Effect of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi on young vines in copper-contaminated soil

High copper (Cu) levels in uprooted old vineyard soils may cause toxicity in transplanted young vines, although such toxicity may be reduced by inoculating plants with arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF). The objective of this study was to evaluate the effects of AMF on the plant growth, chlorophyll contents, mycorrhizal colonization, and Cu and phosphorus (P) absorption in young vines cultivate...

ARBUSCULAR MYCORRHIZAL FUNGI OF WHEAT FIELDS IN THE GOLESTAN PROVINCE

For identification of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF), in the late springs of 2004 and 2005, wheat fields in the GolestanProvince (northeast of  Iran near the Caspian sea) surveyed and root cores sampled. After extraction of AMF spores and staining roots, 19 AMF identified as follow: Entrophospora infrequens, Glomus caledonium, G. clarum, G. constrictum, G. deserticola, G. eburneum, G. etuni...

Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi in arsenic-contaminated areas in Brazil.

Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) are ubiquitous and establish important symbiotic relationships with the majority of the plants, even in soils contaminated with arsenic (As). In order to better understand the ecological relationships of these fungi with excess As in soils and their effects on plants in tropical conditions, occurrence and diversity of AMF were evaluated in areas affected by go...

Enrichment of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi in a contaminated soil after rehabilitation

Spore counts, species composition and richness of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi, and soil glomalin contents were evaluated in a soil contaminated with Zn, Cu, Cd and Pb after rehabilitation by partial replacement of the contaminated soil with non-contaminated soil, and by Eucalyptus camaldulensis planting with and without Brachiaria decumbens sowing. These rehabilitation procedures were compared...
